What is a Functional Capacity Assessment?

A comprehensive process that assesses a participants’ ability to perform various tasks and activities that are essential in daily living. This evaluation is critical in understanding the extent of impairment, the potential impact on the individual’s life and to identify relevant support and capacity building needs.

Alison leverages her extensive experience to utilise the most appropriate standardised tests, clinical observations and outcome measurements, to offer comprehensive insights into communication, social interaction, learning and cognition, mobility, self-care and self-management abilities. These findings provide objective opinions to the NDIS or the Administrative Review Tribunal regarding individual’s functional capacity in a medico-legal context.

Functional Capacity Evaluations can be used to further comment on Care Needs, Capacity Building, Treatment and Rehabilitation Needs.
